Our Purpose
The Association of Anesthesia Clinical Directors is focused on providing anesthesia and perioperative professionals with leadership tools, operational frameworks, and novel approaches relevant to the entire health spectrum. The business of operating room management – including OR efficiency, productivity and cost containment – is a vital skill for the survival of the anesthesia profession. AACD membership provides an opportunity to tackle common challenges, develop additional leadership and organizational skills, network with other clinical directors to share ideas, and hear from experts in the field who can provide insights that impact the perioperative space as a whole.

Fresh Flow Podcast
The Fresh Flow podcast is a collaboration between UAB Medicine and the Association of Anesthesia Clinical Directors (AACD). Podcast guests and discussions present unique perspectives to improving perioperative operational processes. Fresh Flow takes listeners beyond the basic science and clinical application conversations to explore timely, thought-provoking topics that impact anesthesiology and perioperative medicine, both now and in the future.
