Training & Early AACD Involvement

Dr. Chinyere Archie completed her residency in anesthesiology at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, where she became a strong advocate for resident education in perioperative management. Her interest in organizational leadership was piqued while attending her first AACD meeting as a trainee, sparking what would become a dedicated commitment to the organization.

Dr. Archie joined the AACD Board of Directors and began her formal commitment to the group, recognizing the importance of professional organizations in advancing the field of anesthesiology and perioperative care.

AACD Leadership & Service

Dr. Archie continued to cultivate her interest through active involvement in recruitment, diversification, collaboration with other professional groups, and other forms of dedicated service to the AACD membership. She has taken on the helm of the organization's efforts to enhance its footprint in the perioperative leadership space and has revived the quarterly newsletter.

As the co-chair of the AACD Communications Committee, Dr. Archie is passionate about supporting the organization's growth and continued success, demonstrating her commitment to advancing professional communication and collaboration within the anesthesiology community.

Clinical Excellence & Education

Dr. Archie is a board-certified cardiothoracic anesthesiologist and serves as the Associate Program Director of the Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology Fellowship program at Brigham and Women's Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Her clinical expertise focuses on the complex care of patients with cardiac pathology.

She is a passionate clinician educator who consistently demonstrates dedication to excellence in the care of patients with complex cardiac pathology and to teaching and mentoring the next generation of anesthesiologists. Her commitment to education extends from the bedside to the boardroom, reflecting her holistic approach to advancing the profession.
